USI Gives Back
USI is dedicated to serving our communities by donating our time, treasure, and talent to charitable organizations. Each year during our USI Gives Back celebration, offices across the country complete a service project in their local communities. USI Gives Back is an award-winning, corporate social responsibility program.
At USI, we are proud of the deep roots we have in our communities. With agency offices dating back more than 150 years in their local neighborhoods, our teams have a passion for getting involved and helping others who are in need.
We have created a unique and thoughtful corporate social responsibility program that aligns with our core values and makes a positive difference in the neighborhoods where we live and work. We call this “USI Gives Back,” an annual, nationwide campaign where everyone comes together as ONE to invest their time and talent in local community service throughout the year. Michael J. Sicard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of USI, said: “At USI we want to come together as ONE to make a positive difference in the neighborhoods where we live and work. USI Gives Back is about saying thank you to the communities that have been so instrumental in helping us grow.”
Our local offices have worked with food banks and depositories, animal rescue shelters, senior centers, women’s crisis shelters, Title 1 schools, homeless rescue missions, beautification projects, local zoos, parks, beaches, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Gilda’s Club, and United Way — just to name a few.
With local offices spread across the country, a national volunteer effort is logistically challenging. Furthermore, our local communities have diverse needs. Through USI Gives Back, each office engages in a project meaningful to them in coordination with our national campaign. This unique approach has increased local employee engagement and maximized national impact.
USI is privileged to have passionate and caring individuals in our offices who come together to solve problems, both in the marketplace and in our local communities.
