Join us for this informative webinar where we’ll discuss Covid-related changes in the screening process, such as virtual interviews and reference calls, and learn ways to get the most out of these processes. We will also cover background checks and the need to formalize and spot check documentation practices to ensure proper implementation.

Meet the Speaker

Ross MitchellRoss Mitchell manages Praesidium’s school related work and has experience developing and strengthening abuse prevention practices with schools, universities, religious organizations, municipalities, and other youth serving organizations. Ross develops policy, trains employees and volunteers, conducts risk assessments, and performs accreditation visits to verify abuse prevention systems are in place and functioning as intended. He is a member of the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and prior to coming to Praesidium, Ross practiced in his firm’s education group. Ross represented teachers in a variety of employment matters and worked closely with teacher organizations and school districts. Ross graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and obtained his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.

All webinars are $50 per session but are FREE to anyone from a MISBO member school. Webinars are one hour in length and begin at 2pm ET.

MISBO is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
