Administering a major data system (such as SIS, web, or admission) is hard enough. Transitioning from one system to another is an even more challenging task that can set a school back several years if done poorly. In this session, we will discuss best practices for managing a data systems transition, from needs assessment through implementation. We will also cover pros and cons of system consolidation under a single vendor platform.
Gabe Lucas is the principal of Ed Tech Recruiting, which helps schools assess, recruit, and transition in the complex and ever-changing area of educational technology staffing. Gabe taught for six years and served as director of technology for seven years at independent and higher ed schools. He is the co-founder of ATLIS and continues to serve on its board.
