Webinar: Contracts & Consequences: Managing Faculty Performance the Right Way

Effectively managing faculty performance while preserving a positive school culture requires clear expectations, consistent communication, and well-structured employment contracts. In today’s environment, schools must balance accountability with fairness, while also ensuring performance decisions are supported by documentation and aligned with institutional policies. This session will provide practical guidance on navigating common performance challenges, including addressing misconduct, managing
underperformance, and handling difficult conversations with faculty members. We will also explore key contract provisions that can help strengthen the school’s position, reduce legal exposure, and support consistent decision-making across departments and campuses. Attendees will gain insight into how thoughtful contract design and performance management practices can work together to support transparency, protect leadership, and reinforce the school’s mission and values. Designed for administrators, HR professionals, and school leaders, this session will offer realistic strategies schools can implement to improve accountability while minimizing risk and disruption.
