How To: Salary Scale - methods to use when fixing a slightly or severely broken scale

In the last 6 to 12 months, we have gotten more requests than ever to help schools with salary studies - beyond executive compensation or administrator compensation - these requests have been for faculty and staff. Probably driven by concerns about pay equity, competition for teachers and faculty, and higher than anticipated inflation, many schools appear to be working on examining their pay practices to become fair and to offer competitive compensation. Join us for this session where we will walk you through the three-part methodology used to help schools:

  • internal righting-the-ship and uncovering and documenting pay practices that your salary data indicates
  • appropriate external benchmark group creation
  • salary adjustment to desired position within a benchmark group

Damian will explain the math for both the mathy people and for the not-so-mathy people. And, you will have fun!
