Getting It Write: Hot Topics in School Employee Handbooks
In a lively and interactive presentation, Sara Goldsmith Schwartz will outline the key issues for an independent school that either (a) has never implemented an employee handbook, (b) is considering replacing the employee handbook in existence, or (c) is ready to update its employee handbook for legal compliance and best practices. Sara will provide a model table of contents and offer practical suggestions for keeping an independent school’s employee handbook updated and current.

Meet the Speaker
Sara Goldsmith Schwartz is the Founder and President of Schwartz Hannum PC, a law firm based in Andover, MA. Sara graduated from Concord Academy and is a cum laude graduate of both Yale College and Harvard Law School. Sara founded the Firm in 1995. The Firm consists of 12 lawyers, six of whom are dedicated to the Firm’s education practice, which represents more than 200 educational institutions throughout the United States. Sara is a frequent speaker at seminars for attorneys, human resources professionals, and independent school administrators.

All webinars are $50 per session but are FREE to anyone from a MISBO member school. Webinars are one hour in length and begin at 2pm ET.

MISBO is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
