Webinar: Parent Partnerships: Strategies to Address Common Challenges

Independent schools depend on strong, collaborative relationships with parents to best support students, foster community, and provide clarity for faculty. This session will explore common challenges to effective parent–school partnerships, including divorce and custody issues, questions about access to student records and school events, student-support needs, and requests for outside professionals to coordinate with school personnel. We will also address concerns about parent conduct at school events and strategies for preventing schools from becoming entangled in disputes or litigation between parents. Finally, we will discuss how thoughtfully drafted enrollment contracts and clear, consistently applied policies can help schools set appropriate boundaries, promote healthy communication, and reinforce shared expectations. This practical session will equip school leaders with tools to navigate complex situations while maintaining trust and protecting the school’s mission.
