Since joining Captivated Health in 2020,  Harpeth Hall’s health insurance costs have been significantly less than budgeted each year, which has allowed the school to create nearly $1M in health insurance reserves.
Captivated Health has put in place tools and resources to allow members to be better health care consumers. Rightway, the digital front door of Captivated Health, provides concierge service to members allowing them to receive the best care at lower cost.

Harpeth Hall has expanded the tools available to its employees and has provided access to a health coach, so that they can take control of their health. We have also implemented innovative programs that lower costs for employees and the school. We will tell you about our free diapers and wipes program for new parents.

Tom Murphy is the Director of Finance and Operations for Harpeth Hall School in Nashville, TN. Harpeth Hall enrolls 725 girls in grades 5-12 and has a tradition dating back to 1865 with its predecessor schools. Tom has nearly 30 years of experience working in independent schools including previous assignments at St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School (Kansas City, MO) and Brookwood School (Manchester, MA). Tom currently serves as the Chair of Captivated Health. Other volunteer work includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE), faculty member for the Business Officer Institute for NBOA, and the AISNE Employee Benefits Committee. When Tom has a free moment, he enjoys picking up the racket and playing pickleball.
