LOWER SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Lower School Director
LHPS seeks a highly energized leader, educator and administrator to head our vibrant Lower School program. The incoming Director must be comfortable and energized to lead and implement change, and carefully guide outcomes in alignment with our strategic plan. The incoming Director will commence working at LHPS in early summer, no later than July 1, 2020.
The successful candidate will be a talented, motivated and energetic educational leader who is ready to contribute to a dynamic learning community. The successful candidate will champion the school’s mission, and be willing to work with and develop both strong faculty members and motivated students of diverse cultures and experiences.
As an agent of change, the Director must be able to easily cope and skillfully deal with ambiguity while conducting critical analyses of current pedagogy, assessing mission alignment with organizational constructs, and ensuring unwavering commitment to our strategic plan and mission principles. It will be important for the incoming Director to continually assess current lower school organizational structures, curricula standards and practices, and then confidently recommend and implement necessary organizational streamlining and program changes to align with best practices.
The Director of the Lower School provides leadership and supervision in the daily operation of the Lower School. The Director plans for and oversees the quality of learning, student services, and student outcomes while ensuring cohesive integration with school-wide policies, programs, and initiatives.
