Director of Development

Small independent school seeks a full-time Director of Development. The Director of Development is responsible for developing strategy and implementing plans for fundraising to meet the School's goals for annual, capital and endowment fundraising, as adopted by the Board of Trustees. The Director of Development is also responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with parents, alumni, prospects, donors, and business leaders whose commitment to the school is and can be important for its present and future success.  The Director of Development assists in developing a school marketing plan, designs printed materials, and promotes the school's image in the community, as defined by the Board of Trustees and the Head of School.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven(7) years Development experience required •Experience in independent school setting preferred
•Ability to work collaborative with Administrative team
•Public speaking experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent organizational skills

Hours: Full-time. School office is open Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours for this position may fluctuate, depending upon meetings and other responsibilities. Supervisor: Head of School
