Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Specialist
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Full Time 40 Hours per Week
Job Description:
The Maintenance Specialist should have a working knowledge and experience with HVAC systems with 2 years experience in maintenance, construction, or a mechanical field such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire and security alarms, etc. The Maintenance Specialist will monitor and completed work orders. The Maintenance Specialist will be expected to be proactive in maintaining the buildings and grounds on the campus. This position will also be expected to participate in event setup and teardown, purchasing, emergency preparedness drills, etc. A team player is a must with a positive can do attitude. The right candidate will be self motivating but willing and able to accept supervision and to deliver excellent customer service.
Specific Duties:
Monitor and complete work orders daily.
Setup tables and chairs and other requirements for school and school sponsored events.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as HVAC, vehicles, custodial equipment, etc
Help with custodial functions as needed
Organize and maintain school equipment and inventory
Perform basic electrical repair work
Perform basic plumbing work
Perform basic painting and construction work
Interface with vendors
Experience with HVAC control systems
Other duties as assigned

Education:
High School diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 1-2 years responsibility in a Maintenance role.
Computer Skills:
Must have basic skills in using the Internet, as well as Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. Must also have the ability to learn new computer applications as necessary.
